Project Job Search

Attention everyone! Attention! This is a public service announcement letting you know that the recruitment search is on. Recruiting all family, friends and colleges for an important mission – Project Job Search!

Like any other important event in your life, getting married, having a baby or sending a child to school, you need to put a team together to assist with your job search.

A successful job search should be considered an event. An event were you partner with people through the duration of your search. As you must connect with employers, you also need to build your support structure.

Your support structure should consist of:

• Supportive partner(s), independent of your household, that is there when the job search is tuff and when the job search is going well.
• Someone who loves to research to help you retrieve important company information.
• Trusted friend(s) and family that are looking for opportunities that might fit your needs.
• Colleagues (present and/or prior) that are well connected in your industry of choice or know somebody, who knows somebody that can put in a good word for you.
• An experienced career coach or job search expert to help you prepare employment marketing materials (resume, cover letter, interview questions, etc.) and will offer objective advise as to how to best tackle your search.

Let’s face it, you can’t be everywhere, there is only so much time in the day and so many opportunities you can find on your own. Your team will be your additional set of eyes and ears. Having a team will provide additional support and resources to help you land your dream job quicker than you had hoped.
