Challenges

We all have them, they keep us up at night, and we worry – challenges. Challenges come into our life in many forms. Often, we may feel that they are keeping us away from transitioning to our dream career.

Children/spouse/family/friends: You have to take a child to soccer, pick your spouse’s laundry up from the cleaners, a family member needs your assistance or a friend needs your ear to listen. And some how, some way, not only did you meet all their needs, but you got to yours as well. When you thought you couldn’t juggle all the activities, wants and needs, you found a way. These challenges can help you realize your awesome ability to multitask. You have learned that you can push past any perceived limits you thought you had, thus giving you the confidence you need to face any challenge.

Taking care of adult parents: For some taking care of an adult parent (due to age, lack of mobility or aliment) can pose the biggest challenge in your life. Care giving can help you prioritize your life, eliminating any unnecessary people, places or things that no longer serve your best interest. Your time becomes valuable and you learn to use it efficiently, instead of wasting it away and taking it for granted.

Personal health challenges: You might have dealt with or are currently dealing with a health challenge that your think has control over your life. If you haven’t already made it through, believe that you will. Know, if you can beat this, you can beat anything else. Overcoming this challenge can give you a sense of knowing that you have the necessary strengthen to accomplish your goals. With a new outlook on life, you know you are a winner and no one and nothing can stop you.

Death of a loved one: A very important figure in your life has past away. You see your life as having come to a halt. However, if you can find a way to move past this horrible loss, this challenge can help you realize that life is so short. You may become determined more than ever that you are going to enjoy every aspect of your life, starting with what consumes the most of your day – your job.

Challenges can appear to be a means to derail your life, but if you look at them closely, they might be the pause you need to gain strength, efficiency, confidence, or determination. These are some necessary qualities needed to persevere in staying focused and realizing your dream career.
