Relax, Don’t Do It!

One might say that the problem isn’t in laying out the plan for what you want to do. Rather it’s in knowing what to plan from. Where to actually start?

Well, don’t start anything you are not ready to commit your energy and efforts towards.

Sometimes the hardest step in starting the pursuit of a new career or moving on an idea is step one. In the beginning, you have all these thoughts of various ideas you would like to pursue. You become overwhelmed with the wealth of information you have gathered along the way. You find yourself stuck.

Some ideas come into our mind, not necessarily for us to take action on at the given time, but to hold on to for a future date. The idea came to mind, from you or from another person, just to let you know of the next or other opportunities to seek next in your life. An idea that you aren’t ready for can be a rain check for another day. And just when you have gotten stomped on the idea you were working on, pull out a rain check and cash it in.

You may find that someone is trying to pressure you into turning that hobby of yours into a business. You aren’t ready. You don’t want to take on the responsibilities of owning a small business. You like the security of your mind-numbing job.

Don’t place unnecessary pressure on yourself. Everyone moves on different schedules. People are at many different levels in their lives from education to employment and from single to married. We face different hardships and challenges along the way.

Timing is everything. The right timing will bring about your decision to make a move in your life that is best for you. Until then, relax and do nothing.
